Client: Bunt & Associates & Town of View Royal | 2026

The Town of View Royal is updating its Transportation Master Plan (TMP) to guide how people move around the community over the next 10 years. As a growing municipality nestled between Victoria’s core and the West Shore, View Royal plays a vital role as both a residential community and a regional transportation corridor, with 57 km of roadways, 15 signalized intersections, 4 roundabouts, and more than 150 crosswalks forming its transportation network.

The updated TMP will build on other recent initiatives, including the Official Community Plan (View Royal 2050), the Active Transportation Network Plan (2023), the Accessibility Plan (2024), and the Community Climate Action Strategy (2022).

Bunt & Associates was engaged by the Town of View Royal to lead the technical development of the TMP, with Uplift Engagement Communications (Uplift) leading the public engagement process. Our team began by reviewing past planning work and engagement insights, and we identified key groups to involve in the process. Uplift developed a tailored engagement plan, drafted the transportation mission, contributed to survey design, and prepared project materials, such as fact sheets, display boards, and web content, to raise awareness and ensure clear communication. All feedback is being tracked, analyzed, and summarized in “What We Heard” reports.

The project is scheduled for completion in early 2027. Learn more about the project here: engage.viewroyal.ca/TMP
