The Laurel Family Project - Brand and Marketing Strategy
Client: The Laurel Foundation | 2024
The Laurel Foundation, known for its dedication to mental health and autism support, launched the Laurel Autism Family Project (LAFP) to provide free online resources for families of autistic children. This project was aimed at helping those on waiting lists for a diagnosis, lacking access to services, or looking to enhance their current therapies, particularly in remote areas. Uplift Engagement Communications (Uplift) was retained to develop a brand and marketing strategy to help raise awareness of the unique online resource.
A key focus of the brand marketing strategy was to increase the number of parents and caregivers registering with the platform. The more families who participate, the more tailored and impactful the resources become, benefiting everyone.
Our team conducted a comprehensive review of the existing website platform, focusing on improving user experience and design. We worked to make the website graphics and content more intuitive and user-friendly. We also created a three-month social media campaign to raise awareness and inspire action.
Messaging emphasizes to parents and caregivers the value of their input. Every family’s experience adds to the collective knowledge of autism care, helping to create solutions directly informed by those living through similar challenges. Parents and caregivers are invited to share their child’s profile and progress, enabling the Autism Collective to generate personalized treatment recommendations that have worked for children in similar situations. In return, their participation empowers other families to find the right resources and therapies.
The Laurel Foundation Autism Collective represents a vital "healthy community" support initiative with which we are so proud to be involved!
