METRO VANCOUVER LIQUID WASTE MANAGEMENT PLAN UPDATE
Client: Metro Vancouver Regional District | Current
Metro Vancouver delivers regional utility services including water, sewers, wastewater treatment, and solid waste management. Metro Vancouver represents 21 municipalities, one electoral area, and one treaty First Nation located in the region of the same name.
The Integrated Liquid Waste and Resource Management Plan (ILWRMP), approved by the Provincial Government in 2011, establishes a coordinated approach for wastewater management in the Metro Vancouver region. The plan sets goals, strategies, and actions for Metro Vancouver and its member jurisdictions that help protect human health and the environment while using wastewater as a resource and minimizing treatment costs.
Metro Vancouver retained Uplift Engagement Communications (Uplift Co.) to support the Liquid Waste Management Plan’s robust Stakeholder, Public, and First Nations engagement efforts. Our work has included note-taking at meetings and workshops, engagement feedback record-keeping, and report template development.
