CITY OF FERNIE ANNUAL MUNICIPAL REPORT

The BC Community Charter mandates that each municipality in British Columbia prepare an annual municipal report. Each report outlines a municipality’s goals and objectives for the upcoming year and provides a transparent account of progress made towards the previous year’s targets, as stated in the last report.
The City of Fernie engaged Uplift Engagement Communications (Uplift) to provide a copy edit and design services for their 2023 Annual Municipal Report.
Our team collaborated with staff to ensure their vision for the document was achieved. The design phase focused on creating a visually appealing and accessible document, while the editing phase ensured clarity, accuracy, and coherence of the content. The final packaging stage involved compiling the report in a format suitable for both Council presentation and public distribution.
The resulting 2023 Annual Municipal Report is a valuable resource for the community. It provides residents with a detailed insight into the City's operations, financial health, and strategic direction. The report highlights key accomplishments and milestones achieved over the past year, offering a clear narrative of the City’s performance and future plans.
The report was made available for public review, and residents were invited to ask questions and share feedback. This public review period ensured the community could engage with the report and participate in the governance process. This engagement fosters a sense of shared responsibility and collective effort in achieving the City's long-term goals. On June 25, 2024, the Fernie City Council officially approved the 2023 Annual Municipal Report.
